Step 5: Move into Bulk Production
Once the sample is approved, the factory uses it together with the confirmed drawing and finish specifications as the production reference. The exact workflow varies by product, but it may include:
• Casting, stamping, machining or another forming process
• Trimming, edge finishing, sanding and polishing
• Plating, coating or painting
• Enamel color filling, epoxy, laser marking or other decoration
• Assembly of posts, backing plates, screws, rings, chains or other components
• Inspection, counting, protective packing and shipment preparation
The main production goal is consistency with the approved sample. Quality inspection should check the appearance, dimensions, surface finish, color areas, attachment components, quantity and packing requirements before shipment.

Why the Application and Fixing Method Matter

The sample allows the buyer to evaluate details that cannot be fully judged from a screen:

• How the hardware fits and looks on the actual bag, garment, shoe or package
For close color matching, a physical plating sample or reference piece is more reliable than judging color only from a phone screen or digital color chart. Lighting, camera settings and display differences can change how a metal finish appears.

Step 3: Develop the Custom Mold
A new custom logo design normally requires a dedicated mold or tooling setup. The mold transfers the approved shape, lettering, relief and structural details into the metal part.
The tooling method depends on the selected material, overall size, depth, number of cavities and attachment structure. A small flat logo plate and a functional buckle, for example, do not use the same mold construction even if both carry the same brand logo.
The mold is developed only after the drawing has been approved. Changing the logo size, thickness, back structure or attachment method afterward may require a mold adjustment or a new mold. Confirming the final design before this stage is one of the most effective ways to control development cost and timing.
Step 1: Start with the Logo and Product Requirements
The logo is the starting point, but the artwork alone is not enough to develop a functional metal part. The same logo may need a completely different structure depending on whether it will be sewn onto a leather bag, fixed with prongs, attached with screws, used as a zipper pull or built into a buckle.
For an initial evaluation, buyers should provide:
• The logo or artwork file; vector formats such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG are preferred

During artwork review, very thin lines, narrow gaps, fragile open areas or overly small lettering may need practical adjustments. The goal is not to change the brand design, but to make the metal part strong, readable and suitable for the selected production method.
Step 2: Convert the Artwork into a Production-Ready 3D Drawing
A two-dimensional logo explains the visual design, while a production drawing explains how the part will be manufactured. Before mold development, the factory converts the approved artwork into a 3D model or detailed technical drawing.
The 3D drawing normally confirms:
• Overall dimensions and thickness
• Raised, recessed, engraved, openwork or solid areas
